Chilled water supply and return lines connect to an air-cooled chiller and air-cooled heat pump with designated flexible mechanical couplings or braided flexible hoses typically provided at equipment connections. A duplex strainer is incorporated into the piping loop along with unions or mechanical couplings positioned to allow pipes to be easily removed for maintenance and servicing access. All piping installations must provide vibration isolation and seismic restraint per specifications.
