An underground pipe trench with a finish grade surface and clean, compacted, suitable native backfill contains a Schedule 40 PVC mainline bedded near the bottom of the trench with a minimum depth of eighteen inches typical to finish grade, with a bundle of controller wires positioned two inches below the mainline on the opposite side from swing joints, installed in a snakelike fashion and covered with two inches of clean native backfill prior to mainline installation. A Schedule 40 lateral line is positioned above the mainline maintaining a six inch clear separation, set to a minimum depth of twelve inches typical. Fourteen gauge insulated blue copper tracer wire runs along the top of both the lateral line and the mainline. Controller wires are taped together every ten feet, but left untaped to the mainline.
