Cast-in-place concrete paving is supported by a crushed gravel base that measures four inches thick at sidewalks and six inches thick at driveways, resting directly on a compacted subgrade. The pavement edge features a typical one-quarter inch radius tooled edge adjacent to a planting area where the top of mulch sits nine inches below the pavement surface. Jointing requirements reference drawing 1/L320.
