Cold-formed steel 4-inch by 16-gauge hangers support an 8-inch by 16-gauge joist beam, which is suspended from structural steel beams located beneath a metal deck sized per plan. Additional 4-inch by 16-gauge members are positioned between hangers as typical. A 4-inch by 18-gauge strong-back features a lap splice with a 12-inch minimum length, fastened using four number 10 self-tapping metal screws each side typical. Light gauge framing is provided per schedule.
