An underground irrigation backflow preventer is housed within a vault flush with the finished grade, featuring gate valves, a specified backflow prevention device, unions on each side, support blocks resting on brick or concrete blocks over six inches of specified pea gravel minimum, a concrete thrust block, and an irrigation supply from the meter. A quick-coupling valve is installed alongside connected piping and drainage components within a separate underground enclosure.
