An underground irrigation assembly contains a normally closed Rain Bird plastic master valve and a CST FSI series insertion style flow sensor installed within rectangular valve boxes with covers. The piping rests on brick supports over a four-inch minimum depth of three-quarter-inch washed gravel at the finish grade. The layout maintains ten pipe diameters of straight run upstream and five pipe diameters downstream of the flow components. Waterproof wire splices connect the units to the decoder and two-wire path controller circuit, with concentric reducers transitioning pipe sizes as indicated.
