An air and vacuum relief valve assembly connects to a PVC lateral line piping through a PVC solvent-weld tee and an eight-inch depth of three-quarter-inch crushed rock bedding. A Netafim air and vacuum relief valve mounts vertically on a half-inch PVC schedule 80 nipple threaded into the tee. The entire assembly sits within a round valve box with a bolt-down cover, featuring a heat-branded "AV" inscription on the lid in two-inch high characters. Two common bricks support the base of the valve box. The lid finishes flush to one inch above the surrounding finish grade.
