The pop-up shrub spray head sits adjacent to a hardscape surface of asphalt, concrete, masonry, or crushed rock. A swing joint assembly and schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride tee, fittings, and adaptors connect the spray head to a schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride lateral pipe. Blue detect-a-tape runs in the trench above the lateral line. The spray head nozzle aligns with the finish grade mulch level, with the top of the head set two to four inches above the mulch. Seal all threaded fittings with Teflon tape.
