An air conditioning unit curb is fastened to the framing below with one Simpson H8 connector at each corner and two Simpson LTP4 connectors on each side, rated for an eleven hundred pound maximum unit. Four by eight inch framing is centered below the curb, flanked by typical two by six inch trimmers supported by Simpson B48 or HUSTF48 hangers. A steel joist girder occurs below, with joists and joist girders reinforced per detail fourteen on sheet S six point one where four by eight inch members frame in. The AC unit must connect to the curb below with fasteners equivalent to those specified for the curb to framing connection, and curb sizes must be verified before construction.
