An irrigation main or lateral line is housed within a conduit and sleeve placed at the bottom of a trench cut through existing pavement. The trench requires a minimum width of twenty-one inches to allow for compaction of the backfill to ninety-five percent, with a minimum depth of eighteen inches to the top of the trench. The surface is restored with an asphalt patch, surface, and base matching the existing pavement, following a clean sawcut of the existing asphalt.
