Tree protection fencing is installed at the outermost dripline of existing trees using one point eight meter metal T-posts secured with polyethylene fencing. A layer of one hundred fifty millimeters of mulch is applied at the root protection zone of existing trees while maintaining no grade change of more than seventy-five millimeters within the zone. When tree protection fencing is less than one point five meters from the trunk, the trunk is wrapped with fifty millimeter by one hundred millimeter by one hundred millimeter studs placed a maximum of one hundred millimeters apart and roped or banded in place.
