An underground irrigation line is bedded in a three-inch minimum depth of washed gravel with brick supports placed beneath the valve boxes and reducers. A master valve is installed with unions on each side for threaded models, accompanied by control wires and a two-wire system decoder fastened to the box with a bracket. A flow sensor is integrated into the pipe run maintaining specified downstream and upstream straight pipe distances of five times and ten times the pipe diameter. Communication cables include a three-foot coiled length and splices executed according to the manufacturer's recommendation inside standard size valve boxes set below the landscape surface.
