Option 1 consists of a twelve-inch diameter by four-foot six-inch deep auger hole filled with three-quarter-inch uniform drain rock, with one each per tree typical, set beneath amended backfill mix and root balls. Option 2 incorporates a four-inch diameter perforated pipe wrapped with drain rock and filter fabric sock at the bottom of the tree pit, with the perforated pipe connecting to the drained system by civil. Both options sit above undisturbed soil or prepared subgrade below and sides of the plant pit.
