Clean backfill compacted to ninety percent sits above a layer of bedding material that surrounds the conduits. A minimum separation of two inches is maintained between adjacent pipes. Wiring is run beneath and beside the mainline, taped and bundled at ten-foot intervals. All solvent weld plastic piping is snaked in the trench, and a twenty-four-inch loop is tied in all wiring at directional changes of thirty degrees or greater before being untied after connections.
