The assembly consists of an electric remote control valve connected to a Class 200 polyvinyl chloride lateral line at a minimum depth of 12 inches. The valve is preceded by a brass or bronze angle gate valve and a Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride union for maintenance access. A Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride street 90-degree elbow and threaded nipple connect the assembly to the Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride main line, which is buried at a minimum depth of 18 inches. The entire valve assembly sits within a specified vault set flush with the finished grade, supported by paving bricks over a 6-inch deep pea gravel sump. Twenty-four inches of coiled wire are provided at the valve, with an additional 24-inch coil of a different color installed for future use, and all wiring is taped to the side of the main line at 10-foot on-center intervals.
