A cast-in-place concrete mow curb with a one-foot width is centered over a continuous concrete footing embedded in compacted subgrade and base material per the geotechnical engineer. A chain link fence post extends down through the mow curb and deep into the concrete footing. Number 3 continuous horizontal rebar is placed within the footing, featuring a one-quarter-inch typical radius and an expansion joint at the vertical surface against adjacent paving. Adjacent paving heights vary by material type, measuring one and one-half inches at shrubs and groundcover, one inch at turf, and one-quarter inch at infield mix.
