An adjustable three-tier island shelving unit is supported by a vertical two-inch by two-inch twelve-gauge hollow structural section steel tube frame member. The vertical frame member is secured to the structural floor using a four-inch by three-inch by one-quarter-inch ninety-degree angle bracket at the base and a two-inch by three-inch by one-quarter-inch angle bracket connected with zinc-plated self-tapping machine screws. The assembly features two-inch by two-inch twelve-gauge horizontal frame members supporting three tiers of adjustable shelves with silicone sealant at the benchtop penetration. All steel tubing and associated hardware receive an epoxy powder coating in a color selected by the architect, and an electrical raceway is integrated under Division 26.
