A one-quarter-inch by six-inch metal edging restrains the boundary between a planted lawn area and bark or stone mulch. The metal edging extends approximately one inch above the finished grade of the amended soil. An optional weed barrier fabric extends beneath the mulch bed adjacent to the edging.
