New concrete paving meets existing concrete paving at a dowelled construction joint featuring a twelve-inch long slip dowel with a sleeve spaced twelve inches on center. The joint gap is filled with a joint filler strip, backer rod, and sealant with a three-eighths inch dimension, finished with a typical one-quarter inch radius. Mason sand is installed on top of the sealant per the installation note.
