An irrigation quick coupling valve connects to a main line via a schedule 80 PVC piping assembly set at a minimum 24-inch depth. The main line transitions through two 90-degree elbows and schedule 80 PVC nipples, utilizing two full turns of Teflon tape on all threaded joints. A Rainbird 44LC lockable two-piece brass quick coupler connects to the piping and is stabilized by a number 5 rebar, 16 inches long, clamped to the assembly with a stainless steel clamp. The assembly rests on a 6-inch deep bed of three-quarter-inch gravel and is enclosed within a 10-inch round box set at grade with a bolt-down lid labeled 'irrigation'. The valve is placed at an automatic valve location at a minimum frequency of one every 200 lineal feet.
