An inline master valve and flow meter are installed within separate rectangular valve boxes set atop eight inches of pea gravel. The piping layout requires a minimum upstream distance of ten times the flow meter size and a minimum downstream distance of five times the flow meter size. Waterproof electrical connectors join the control wiring to the controller, explicitly prohibiting pre-filled type connectors. Color-coded wire connections include black, red, white, and blue leads tied back to a black wire harness.
