A tree rootball is set within a cast-in-place concrete planting cutout surrounded by concrete unit pavers on a sand setting bed, reinforced concrete slab, and compacted aggregate base. Galvanized wire secures the rootball and extends down to anchors set into the compacted subgrade. A metal mesh mat is integrated into the soil surface adjacent to the tree pit. The entire assembly rests on compacted subgrade layers.
