Hollow structural section columns intersect with horizontal members sized per plan, utilizing a one-half-inch cap plate secured by four three-quarter-inch diameter A325N bolts. Full-height stiffener plates are welded to each side of the column using one-quarter-inch fillet welds along three sides. A beam splice connection incorporates a plate sized per schedule with matching bolts, positioned adjacent to the column centerline with specified clearances and edge distances. Additional connection configurations feature identical cap plate assemblies with two three-quarter-inch diameter A325N bolts.
