An area drain with a six-inch diameter NDS grate and satin brass finish is set flush with the surrounding decomposed granite paving, which slopes toward the drain at a maximum rate of two percent. The drain assembly connects to a six-inch diameter PVC riser pipe that extends downward through a Class 2 aggregate base and twenty-four inches of imported topsoil. The PVC riser transitions through an elbow fitting to connect to the site storm drain line.
