This irrigation trench assembly features a mainline pipe at the base and a lateral line positioned above it. The trench is backfilled with clean and lightly compacted soil to a minimum depth of twelve inches for the lateral line and eighteen inches for the mainline, measured to the top of the soil cover excluding mulch. A tracking tape is installed six inches above the pipe for utility identification. Irrigation wire is attached to the mainline at fifteen-foot intervals.
