This assembly consists of a mainline pipe connected via PVC schedule 40 solvent weld fittings to a ball valve with a one-quarter inch female thread on the discharge end. The entire configuration is housed within a purple color valve box and lid, supported by brick supports resting on a compacted undisturbed subgrade with a minimum of four per box. A three-eighths inch diameter pea gravel sump with a minimum volume of one-half cubic foot is provided at the base inside the excavated area.
