A Data Industrial flow sensor is mounted onto the irrigation mainline pipe, centered above a pea gravel drain sump measuring thirty inches minimum diameter by six inches minimum deep. The assembly is enclosed within a jumbo purple plastic valve box featuring two six-inch extensions and a locking cover, with waterproof connections linking a two-conductor shielded cable to the transmitter using black and red wires. The finish grade sits one inch above the box in turf areas and two inches in shrub areas, accompanied by a recycled water tag attached to the wiring. Straight pipe clearances are maintained at ten times the pipe diameter upstream and five times the pipe diameter downstream of the sensor.
