This irrigation assembly consists of a 1/2-inch polyvinyl chloride ball valve with solvent-weld connections housed within a 10-inch round plastic valve box and lid. The valve connects to the main irrigation line via 3 feet of coiled 1/2-inch iron pipe size polyvinyl chloride flexible hose, which allows for movement and maintenance access. The valve box rests on stabilizing blocks set atop a 12-inch minimum depth bed of drain rock. The assembly is installed so the lid sits 0 to 1 inch above the finish grade, with the supply line entering through a polyvinyl chloride schedule 40 adapter.
