A one-half inch diameter expansion bolt anchors a coupling nut to the overhead concrete structure. A one-half inch diameter threaded rod extends downward from the coupling nut at four feet on center to support the framing below. Splay wires spaced at eight feet on center brace the four-inch sixteen-gauge steel stud. A manufacturer's bolt connects the framing to a steel tubing spacer above the suspended ceiling, which is coordinated with architectural drawings.
