A one-quarter-inch pea gravel band with a submitted sample sits on a Mirafi 140N filter fabric or approved equal over prepared subgrade. A metal header retained by vertical stakes separates the gravel bed from the finish grade at the planting area. The gravel bed slopes away from the building face at a typical two percent fall toward the exterior. The assembly interfaces with the concrete foundation wall below the finish elevation of the building.
