An exterior door frame sits adjacent to a cold-formed steel stud wall clad with etched aluminum panels. The six-inch metal stud framing includes batt insulation, an interior vapor retarder, and scheduled interior finishes. The exterior features vertical thermally improved zees installed over a fluid-applied air and water barrier with intermediate insulation. An etched aluminum panel is welded to a continuous z-clip fastened to the vertical zees. A continuous primary seal is applied to all sides of the thermally improved door frame, with metal trim covering the exposed air and moisture barrier.
