The trench terminates at finish grade with clean compacted backfill surrounding the utility lines. A non-pressure lateral line is positioned at a minimum depth of twelve inches, while a pressure supply line is installed below at an eighteen-inch minimum depth with the pipe snaked in the trench. A two-inch layer of clean backfill beds the bottom of the trench beneath the pressure line. Control wires are bundled and taped at fifteen feet on center and installed directly below the pressure supply line. Control wires require a pigtail and loop at all ninety-degree changes in direction.
