This cast-in-place concrete retaining wall rests on a reinforced concrete footing set upon a class 2 aggregate base and compacted subgrade. The wall stem features number 4 reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center both ways, while the footing contains a number four rebar cage at eighteen inches on center with four number four bars top and bottom. A twelve-inch wide trench of drain rock wrapped in filter fabric encases a perforated pipe that connects to the storm drain per civil drawings. An expansion joint is provided between the wall and adjacent concrete paving.
