A structural steel joist hanger connects a steel joist to an overhead skewed beam using three-eighths-inch bent plates. The bent plates are bolted to the bottom flange of the skewed beam and extend downward to support the vertical hanger members framing into the joist. Standard bolts secure the bent plate hanger assembly to the structural steel elements.
