A standard tree staking assembly consisting of vertical tree stakes and horizontal spreader boards secured to the tree trunk with 3/8-inch by 3/4-inch black rubber tire ties. The stakes are driven into undisturbed soil alongside the planting pit, which extends to a minimum depth of 3 feet below finish grade. Spreader boards are positioned per specifications to maintain proper spacing and support. Trees should be staked perpendicular to the prevailing wind direction.
