Utility conduits are installed within a six-inch wide trench beneath exterior paving with a minimum eighteen-inch cover to the top of the conduit. The trench is backfilled with clean, compacted, suitable native material and includes blue detectable warning tape placed six inches below grade. A larger PVC conduit sized per notes and a smaller gray electrical PVC conduit sized to accommodate wires sit at the trench bottom.
