An electric remote-control valve assembly is housed within a subterranean valve box fitted with a cover set flush with finished grade. The internal piping network connects to supply and discharge lines passing through the box walls, incorporating shut-off valves, unions, and elbows. Electrical control wiring connects to the valve solenoid and extends through coiled loops to terminate at waterproof connectors or splices. A compacted gravel base supports the valve box interior, which rests on undisturbed soil beneath.
