An electric remote control valve and a brass or bronze angle gate valve are housed inside a specified vault set flush with the finished grade, resting on paving bricks over a six-inch deep pea gravel sump. The assembly connects to a Schedule 40 PVC main line buried a minimum of 18 inches deep and a Class 200 PVC lateral line buried a minimum of 12 inches deep using Schedule 80 PVC threaded nipples, unions, standard elbows, and a threaded-one-end nipple. Control wires feature a 24-inch coiled section inside the vault with an extra colored coil installed per valve box, and are taped to the side of the main line at 10 feet on center. A valve box extension is added as required.
