A slot drain system and catch basin are embedded within a concrete curb at the edge of synthetic track surfacing. The concrete curb is reinforced with two continuous number 4 rebars and rests on a compacted base material and subgrade per geotechnical recommendations, maintaining a minimum four-inch thickness below the curb. Synthetic track surfacing abuts the concrete curb and overlies the compacted subbase.
