A structural steel hanger assembly is suspended from an overhead beam. A vertical hanger member passes down through an L3x3 angle support that is typically welded to the overhead structural support. Horizontal joists frame into the hanger on both sides using mechanical fasteners. Field welds indicated by the standard weld symbol secure the angle and hanger connection.
