A cold-formed steel stud is anchored at its head by an L4x4x14 gauge angle measuring 1 foot 5 inches long. This angle is secured to a 3 gauge steel plate spanning 1 foot 3 inches across the underside of a concrete deck. The plate is fastened to the concrete deck using four Hilti 0.157 inch diameter X-U powder-actuated fasteners spaced at 4 inches on center.
