A mulch bed transitions directly to a paving edge with a two-foot-wide planting transition zone. The mulch layer is placed per specifications over a prepared subgrade. Finish grade and subgrade levels are established with specific vertical offsets relative to the adjacent paving edge. Planting locations are coordinated per landscape plans.
