Sod with tight beveled joints is placed over a minimum five-inch topsoil layer and amended soil adjacent to concrete paving. A one-inch vertical offset is maintained between the sod surface and the concrete paving. The installation requires tight beveled joints between sod sections placed over properly prepared sub-grade soil.
