An underground flush valve connects to a threaded water supply manifold enclosed inside a six-inch round valve box set flush with the surrounding grade. Teflon tape is applied to all threaded manifold connections to prevent leaks. The entire assembly rests upon a compacted gravel base inside the protective box enclosure.
