A cold-formed steel boxed header connects to jamb framing with fasteners sized per schedule. The boxed header requires a ten-inch minimum distance at the top and bottom to the nearest punch-out. Fastener placement includes one-half inch edge distance with equal spacing and a one-inch dimension between fastener rows.
