A cold-formed steel stud is suspended beneath a structural steel beam per plan using an L3x3x14 gauge angle. The horizontal leg of the angle attaches to the underside of the beam flange with three number 10 sheet metal screws, spaced with a one-inch minimum edge distance. The vertical leg of the angle connects to the stud per plan. The maximum hanging weight per single stud shall not exceed 400 pounds.
