An underground irrigation assembly connects to a mainline via a schedule eighty riser and a solvent-weld by threaded tee with a two-inch nipple. A twenty by fourteen-inch jumbo plastic valve box encloses the assembly, set flush at turf or two inches above grade at shrubs, with a three-inch minimum clearance and two six by two by sixteen-inch concrete block caps supporting each side. Inside the box, a PVC true union ball valve and a remote-control valve connect to a basket filter and a pressure regulator using PVC unions with short nipples. Controller wire with a thirty-inch linear length of coil, a plastic identification tag, and waterproof connectors links to the remote-control valve. An outlet pipe matches the valve size with a twenty-four-inch minimum length to the first fitting, dropping forty-five degrees down as required to reach lateral pipe depth twelve inches below grade.
