An underground irrigation control valve assembly is housed within a protective valve box. The system connects to the mainline fitting and routes through a two-hundred mesh Y-type filter, a preset pressure regulator, and a control valve with connected control wires. Piping consists of PVC laterals joined with typical PVC unions and PVC nipples, transitioning upward to forty-five degree PVC elbows leading to the irrigation system. The entire valve box rests on a minimum of one cubic yard of three-quarter inch gravel fill set over standard bricks, finished flush with the surrounding finished grade.
