An underground irrigation remote control valve assembly is housed within a standard valve box with cover set flush to finish grade and the top of mulch, maintaining a three-inch minimum clearance above the internal components. The assembly rests on a four-inch minimum depth bed of three-quarter-inch washed gravel over brick supports. A PVC mainline pipe connects via a PVC schedule 40 tee or ell, a PVC schedule 40 male adapter, and a schedule 80 nipple to a remote control valve specified as a Rain Bird PESB-PRS-D with an NP-HAN. The valve connects through a PVC schedule 80 close nipple, PVC schedule 40 ell, and PVC schedule 80 nipple to PVC lateral piping. Waterproof connections utilize a Rain Bird splice-1 with a decoder referencing detail sheet L3.3 and an ID tag for a Rain Bird VID series.
