A pop-up spray head connects to a schedule 40 PVC lateral line with a half-inch threaded outlet through a flexible drop assembly. The assembly utilizes a half-inch Marlex street ell at the spray head and half-inch barbed ells at each end of a linear low-density polyethylene pipe. This flexible swing joint measures between fourteen inches minimum and twenty-four inches maximum in length to prevent damage from heavy maintenance equipment or ground movement. Compacted soil surrounds the head, flex pipe, and lateral line up to the finish grade.
